Youtube tricks and hacks

1. Download youtube videos 

    

   Add "ss" before youtube in the address bar to download the video you are watching . Like www.ssyoutube.com/example . You will redirected to the website en.savefrom.net from where you can download the video in a wide variety of formats . You can also download  just the audio part .


2.Convert youtube videos into GIF images

  GIF images are... To convert a video into a GIF image just add gif before youtube in the url as mentioned above . Choose the starting point, end point and the length of the GIF .

3.Keyboard shortcuts

   If you are too lazy to hover around  your mouse constantly , try the following keyboard shortcuts :

  i)   k ~ Play/Pause
 ii)   j ~ Rewind the video 10 seconds
 iii)  l ~ Fast forward the video 10 seconds
 iv)  m ~ mute
  v)  0~ goto begining of the video
 vi)  1-9~jump 10%to 90% of the video
 vii) -+~make caption font bigger
viii) -- ~ make caption font smaller

4. Start a video at a specific time

  You can add the start time at the end of the video url by adding #t= followed by the time . For example :

 www.youtube.com/example#t=1m24s
www.youtube.com/example#t=84s

 If you want to share the video at a specific time, right click on the video and click "get video url at  current time" .

5. Use "Floating youtube" 

  A chrome extension which keeps floating youtube mini video player on top of all windows.

6.Turn youtube to karaoke

New Texting App From Google - Allo

Google Allo Say Allo to the new messaging app from Google. Google has introduced a new chatting app, Allo. Google describes this app as - " A smart messaging app that helps you say more and do more ". I have been using this for a while and this app does really do all as other messaging apps does. It's just completely fine , but requires a little bit more of work. One of the most exciting feature of Allo is that it comes with the Google's newer and smarter Assistant allowing us to get information or any kind of help, faster. We will also get smarter replies, which are recommended words or phrases. Even when we are chatting with our buddies we can get help from Google Assistant by adding - @google - before asking any questions. Allo has a simple user interface. you can send messages to your contacts by clicking on the blue message icon. It has an automated  feature of showing the people in your contacts who uses Allo. It also has an learning character.
